About Michael Green

native of Columbia, MD, Michael played collegiate soccer at the University of Virginia where he was a three-year starter and played for the Cavaliers in their 1997 NCAA Championship game vs. UCLA. Michael began his professional soccer career in 1999, signing with Major League Soccer's Kansas City Wizards. He spent three years with the Wizards, including the 2000 season when the Wizards won the MLS Cup. Michael  was a member of the Pro-40 Select team during this period and in 1999, trained with Bayer 04 Leverkusen of the German Bundesliga. He then played professionally in the A-League for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Charleston Battery. Besides as acting as Lead Coach for The Future, Michael is also the Technical Director for Wasilla Youth Soccer Association.
