The Alaska Airlines Cup is the premier club competition in Alaska and has been around for over two decades.
Teams from Canada and the U.S. parcipitate each year making this the largest tournament in Alaska. The Alaska Airlines Cup features 12 collegiate or professional level referees flown in by our generous sponsor, Alaska Airlines. All teams are assured four games. Based in Anchorage, the majority of games will be played at Kincaid Park and Stadium. The setting is second to none with gorgeous views of alpine peaks surrounded by the water of Cook Inlet. The tournament is preceded by the Alaska Airlines College ID Camp which includes twelve college coaches from the Northwest, West Coast and Midwest training and recruiting the state’s top players.
Alaska Rush Soccer Club extends an invitation to your team, soccer club, and to all of Rush Soccer Nation, to bring a high school age team to Anchorage for the College ID Camp and stay for the Alaska Airlines Cup ...or bring your younger team for the tournament. Rush Clubs from around the country are invited to participate in the 2016 Alaska Airlines Cup free of charge or the coach flies for free! The first 4 Rush Soccer clubs will be accepted.
Note: In 2016, the Alaska Airlines Cup age groups will be following the new USSF guidelines
with age groups based on the year in which a player was born.
U10 = 2006, U11 = 2005, U12 = 2004….
Registration closes on May 15th, 2016.
Teams registering after May 15th will incur a $100 late fee and may be denied entry into the event

Team Rosters Online
Teams can log in and update their rosters no later than June 2nd. After June 2nd, teams will be required to submit a hard copy with their changes to the Tournament Committee. You have until one (1) hour before your team's first game to add or delete players from your roster and to submit missing or incorrect paperwork. PLAYERS MAY NOT BE ADDED for any reason after this time.
Alaska Airlines College Showcase Games
In conjunction with the Alaska Airlines Cup is the Alaska Airlines College Showcase Game. Alaska's first and only showcase that offers high school boys and girls the opportunity to be seen by college coaches without traveling outside of Alaska.
These games are played at West High School as a kick-off to the tournament. Players will be selected from campers registered with the Alaska Airlines College ID Camp. Each game is full of competitiveness as the college coaches are there watching to see who they can bring home.

Credentials Check and Referees Meetings
Team credentials and team check-in will be held in the Meeting Room at Alex Hotel & Suites (4615 Spenard Rd., Anchorage, Alaska 99517) on Thursday, June 2nd. Credentials check will begin at 6:30 PM and close at 8:30 PM. All teams are encouraged to clear credentials at this time.
Out of town teams that cannot attend must clear credentials at least one hour prior to your first match. Check in at the Headquarters (Kincaid upper bunker) of the fields complex for your games.
Referees: If you would like to referee at our tournament, please contact the referee assignor Paton Stott firstname.lastname@example.org. Referee clinic, dinner and information will be held . You must attend the referee clinic to receive your referee tournament gifts and first game assignments. If you are an out-of-state referee interested in joining us please contact Paton. We provide transportation and housing for out-of-state referees for the duration of the Alaska Airlines Cup.
Ina K Scholarship
The Alaska Rush Soccer Club (formerly Alaska Goldstrikers) has available two $1,000 scholarships for graduating High School seniors. The fund was established from the proceeds of the Ina K. Tournament. Ina was a former Goldstriker who passed away from leukemia. Ina personified the drive, determination, and strength of character the Alaska Rush Soccer Club (formerly Goldstrikers Soccer Club) believes all young soccer players should work towards.
The purpose of the scholarship is to assist undergraduate students interested in pursuing a college degree. The recipient must be an Alaska resident, be a currently registered member of an Alaska Rush team OR, if the Alaska Rush does not offer a team in the appropriate age group, a member of an Alaska Rush team for three of the previous five years, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
The recipient of the Ina K Scholarship will be an exemplary representative of the Alaska Rush Soccer Club by demonstrating the following: outstanding character and leadership traits, initiative, academic achievement, and versatility by being involved with volunteer activities in the community and school.
Please follow application guidelines below to apply for 2016. Applications will be considered for the scholarship if minimum requirements are met.
How to apply:
- Complete the application form
- Submit a transcript by May 22, 2016. Copies of official transcripts are acceptable.
- Give the letter of recommendation forms to a maximum of three references. One may be an Alaska Rush coach. Be sure to advise your references of the application deadline.
Submit all paperwork by May 22, 2016.
