2013 Alaska Airlines Cup Opening Ceremonies & College Showcase Games

Festivities scheduled to begin 5:30pm at The Alaska Dome

All teams are invited and encouraged to participate in the Alaska Airlines Cup Opening Ceremonies at the Alaska Dome.

To participate in the Parade of Teams event, Coaches and Team Managers should have players in place, ready to go, on the North end track of The Dome at 5:15pm. The Parade of Teams will begin properly at 5:30pm. Alaska Rush Staff members will be available to assist with coaches and players at this time. Please ensure all players are wearing their team uniforms. Teams are even encouraged to carry a club or team banner if they have one. Fly your colors!

In addition to the Parade of Teams event, this will be an opportunity for players to participate in the first-ever “Cage Soccer” and “Freestyle Juggling” competitions. These events are FREE to ‘Tournament Wristband’ wearers (and ONLY Wristband wearers in uniform will be allowed to enter). Great Adidas merchandise will be awarded to each age division winners in these events.

Any last minute tournament information will be announced via the Alaska Airlines Cup Smart Phone Apps 

Schedule of Events 

• 4:00-5:15pm: “Cage Soccer” at the South end of the Dome

• 5:15-5:30pm: Team Staging on the track at the North end of the Dome

• 5:30-5:40pm: Parade of Teams and Referees

• 5:40-5:50pm: Introductions: Sponsors, Mayor’s Office; Ina K Scholarship Awards presention; Tournament/Coaches Information

• 5:50-6:00pm: “Freestyle Juggling Contest” (Alaska Airlines College ID Camp Coaches to judge)

• 6:00-7:30pm: Girls College Showcase Game

• 7:30-9:00pm: Boys College Showcase Game
